J B Distributors was founded in 1975 by Jim and Margaret Barnard, after gaining over 20 years experience with their former employer, Central Queensland wholesale merchants Walter Reid & Co Ltd.

Originally selling packaging & disposable products, J B Distributors have expanded their range over the years to include, chemicals, dry foods, confectionery, frozen and chilled foods.

In 1986 we were one of the original eight distributors who formed the buying group, known then as Queensland Independent Distributors. Qdis later joined with similar groups in NSW & Victoria to form the Countrywide National Network.

J B Distributors have evolved over the years and have become recognised as leaders in the industry, for their excellent service, friendly and well presented staff, immaculate warehouse facilities and delivery vehicles.

As the original Countrywide member for the Central Queensland area, J B Distributors are proud of the fact that they are still owned and managed by the same family members who started the business in 1975.
